Waterloo/Geneva – Deborah A. Bacon, 59 of William St., Geneva, NY, died Saturday (July 2, 2016) in the Town of Benton as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Family and friends may call at St. Mary’s Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY on Monday (July 11) from 9 AM to 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at the church with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterloo, NY.
Deborah was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on April 15, 1957 the daughter of the late Stuart & Margaret Clayton Bacon. She had been residing in Geneva for the past 4 years, moving there from Waterloo. She was employed by Home Instead Senior Living of Auburn, NY as a caregiver. She was a member of St. Francis/St. Clare Parish in Waterloo. Deborah was an organist and choir director at St. Patrick’s Church in Seneca Falls for many years. She, also, had served the First United Methodist Church of Geneva, NY and the Federated Church of Ovid, NY as organist. She had previously been employed by Seneca County in the office of veteran’s affairs. She enjoyed swimming, biking, and gardening. She loved to play the piano but most of all she loved serving God with her music.
She is survived by:
3 daughters – Lorraine (Stephen) Curry – Auburn, NY
Julianna McGhan – Waterloo, NY
Christine McGhan – Lyons, NY
1 son – Benjamin Fox – Geneva, NY
2 grandchildren – Stephen Curry and Connor McGhan
2 brothers – Stuart Bacon – Las Vegas, Nevada
Allen (Angie) Bacon – Oakley, CA.
Several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her sister, Alison Bacon.
