Seneca Falls – Barbara A. Eggleston, 85, of Heath St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday (November 2, 2016) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY.
Family and friends may attend Barbara’s Memorial Service on SUNDAY (DECEMBER 4) at 1 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 27 Fall St., Seneca Falls, NY with Reverend Nelson Gaetz, Rector, officiating. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, Seneca Falls, at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 27 Fall St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
Barbara was born in Auburn, NY on October 31, 1931 the daughter of the late Harry A. & Elizabeth E. Rogers Knapp. She had resided most of her life in Seneca Falls and was a graduate of S.U.N.Y. at Morrisville with an Associates Degree in Nursing. She had worked at Hamilton Community Hospital, Hamilton, NY and Seneca Falls Hospital as a L.P.N.
She was a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Seneca Falls and a member and past president of Seneca Falls Music Boosters, serving as president for 5 years. She had been the Grand Marshall of the Seneca Falls Pagent of Bands in the 1980’s. Barbara’s bright spots in her life were here husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends.
She is survived by:
1 daughter – Marcia (Virgil) Burdick – Seneca Falls, NY
1 son – Brian L. (Terri) Eggleston – Seneca Falls, NY
1 step-son – Edwin (Teresa) Eggleston Jr. – Michigan
Her grandchildren – Rachael E. Burdick, Nikole L., Sean L., & Jason L. Eggleston, Eric E. & Todd Eggleston, Rachel (William) Juhl, Mandy (Joe) Foster, & Brandon (Sarah) Rindfleisch.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Edwin E. Eggleston Sr. who died September 21, 2004, & her twin brother, Bruce Knapp Sr. who died September 24, 2016
