Waterloo- Catherine M. Jolly, 84, of Waterloo, NY, passed away, peacefully on Monday, (April 9, 2018), at her home, with her family by her side.
Family and friends may call at Doran Funeral Home, 30 Center St, Waterloo, on Tuesday, (April 10, 2018) from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. A private funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo, NY, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Beverly Animal Shelter, River Rd., Waterloo, in memory of Cathy.
Cathy was born in Waterloo, NY on July 25, 1933, the daughter of Robert and Hilda Smith Hill. She was a lifelong resident of Waterloo. Cathy is retired from the Waterloo School District, where she drove school bus for many years. She had many talents. One in which she used to Yodel. At a young age, she and a friend would harmonize on the school bus, and later she was heard frequently on the area radio station. Cathy was found over the years to enter into pitching horseshoes at the Waterloo fairgrounds and was a frequent bowler and card player. She also would attend her grandchildren’s sports games. Her family ties were very special, bringing up 7 children, and watching her family grow with Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren, and spending time with them. This was her greatest accomplishment!
The family would like to send a special thanks to the dialysis team at Geneva General Hospital, for the care they gave to their mom for the past 12 years.

1 – Sister – Dorthy Duby, Angleton, Tx
16 – Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren
Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and special friends
Besides her parents, Cathy is predeceased by: her husband, William Jolly; a daughter, Denise Gifford; 2 brothers – Robert and Albert Hill; 4 sisters – Fern Skinner, Elizabeth West, Hazel Loree, and Barbara Jones.
