Rest In Peace my old friend

Doug was the first kid I met just before starting kindergarten. For many years I would stop at his house in the morning and we would walk to school. We also walked home from school together just about every day. He was a great friend to have. We went separate ways in our teens but recently I was able to connect with him. I am grateful I had a little time to visit him once and call him from time to time. It's just my opinion but I believe like so many young men who served in Vietnam his life was shortened by exposure to Agent Orange. I had hoped to see him in August but I will make it a point to visit his grave while in NY.
