Craig & Ginny, Shelby & Casey & Delores our hearts hurt for you and prayers were sent...asking God to see you through this sad time. We never met Shelby or Casey but we also share your pain. Losing a parent is one of the hardest of deaths. (((hugs))) from afar for you all.
For many years Doug, Sharon, Craig, & Ginny were our neighbors, & we were all friends as teens as well. We were his kids sitters before & after school. We would get their breakfast with our kids [Pancakes & French Toast] were their favorites. We would see them off on the bus with Jaymi & Jayci each morning. When we had the Strawberry Patch, they would walk to the cafe & get their homework done before Doug or Sharon would pick them up. Dougie was my Savior when Jimmy was on the road. I called Dougie for everything...my car wouldn't start, he got it started...a rabid coon, he came & shot it...one day he called and said.."I just found Satan [our cat] he was dead in the road" ...my kids would be crushed and he knew Jimmy not being home I couldn't care for him..Dougie buried him & made him a cross. He then came & told the kids for me & took his kids & mine to where he buried our cat...and of course he stayed for their little ceremony [funeral] for their beloved Satan. Then... two days later "Satan" came back home. :) Obviously, Dougie buried the wild & mean ferral cat that hung around our homes and looked like Satan...So many kids stories we could share... Dougie we so loved you... Our lives moved on in different directions...and we lost touch. Ginny & Craig your dad left us so many fun and funny memories. He was a great man!!!
Dougie...tell Brian we said "hey" and give hm a hug....RIP Dougie RIP
Eternal love,
Jimmy & Shari Carter
